The purpose of our Hope Jars are to teach children the value of contributing to those who are less fortunate. We encourage our supporters to get their children excited about saving spare change that will be donated to the children living in the Hope Endowment home once the jar is full. MEET THE CHILDREN

Shruti

Meet Shruti Pawar! Shruti once lived with her parents and three siblings near the Gujarat-Maharashtra border in India. After losing her father, Shruti’s mother struggled to take care of her four children on her own. When Shruti’s mother discovered our organization, she knew that her daughter would have a better life under our care. When we first took Shruti in, she was malnourished and emotionally distraught. After adjusting to her new life, Shruti has found confidence in herself and excels in various sports and her studies.

Ankila

Ankila is an 8 year old girl who was brought from a missionary to live in our home in 2013 after her mother passed away, and her father left her with her ill grandparents who were unable to care for her. Amkila came from the remote village of Dang in Gujarat where basic facilities like clean drinking water and electricity are not available. When Ankila first arrived to our home she was very frightened and timid. After making friends and attending lessons, Ankila has overcome her hardship and is now one of the brightest students in her grade!

Pratiksha

Pratiksha comes from an extremely low income household. Pratiksha’s father was blind and unable to work; Pratiksha’s mother took cleaning jobs when work was available. When Pratiksha’s mother could no longer afford to provide her with daily meals, her parents left her under our care. When Pratiksha first arrived at our home she didn’t show interest in interacting with the other children. After living at our home for a year, Pratiksha now has a close group of friends, and is steadily improving in academics.
